Abstract:
One aspect of the invention can include a cutting machine (1) having a table (20), a cutting machine body (10) supported by the table (20) via a sliding mechanism (41, 42) to allow movement in a vertical direction and a horizontal direction, the cutting machine body (10) including a fixed cover (13) positioned around an upper side of a rotary blade (12) mounted to a rotatably driven spindle (18), the rear edge portion (13b) of the fixed cover (13) is recessed upward to enable a large cutting depth. The sliding mechanism (41, 42) includes an intermediate stopper mechanism (70) that can be operated to switch between a state where the cutting machine body (10) can slide within an entire slidable range and a state were the cutting machine body (10) can slide only within a partial slidable range at a midway position.
