To provide a desk top electronic calculator which enables a user to display the number of a desired count number among IC(item counter), GC (grand total counter), and MC(memory counter) and grasp a current calculation position halfway in calculation such as slip calculation.

This electronic calculator is provided with an IC which counts calculations made by operating operator keys, the GC which counts how many times a calculation result is made, and the MC which counts how many time addition to or subtraction from a memory is performed and further provided with a counter switch 41 for selecting one of the IC, GC, and MC; and the count number of the counter specified with the counter switch 41 is displayed on the display screen of a display device 2.
