Abstract:
PURPOSE: To enable the assembly and disassembly of a desk without turning the desk upside down by a method wherein the back-and-forth movement of the top plate relative to the leg elements is inhibited, a drop engagement section cooperates with the drawer rails in determining the relative positioning between the top plate and the leg elements, and the top plate and the leg elements are connected with bolts for the sustenance of the engagement of the drop engagement section.
CONSTITUTION: The inner sides of two leg elements 1, 2 are guided by a pair of drawer rails 17 on the outer surface provided under a top plate 4. By the engagement action of slide engagement sections 5A, 5B accomplishing engagement upon the back-and-forth sliding of the top plate 4, the top plate 4 is caused to go into a dropping action, and, in the dropped state, the top plate 4 is inhibited from back-and-forth movement relative to the leg element 1, 2. Simultaneously with the inhibition, a drop engagement section 6, in cooperation with the drawer rails 17, determines the position of the top plate 4 in the right-and-left direction relative to the leg element 1, 2, and the top plate 4 and leg elements 1, 2 are connected by bolts 55, 57 for the sustenance of the engaged state of the drop engagement section 6.
