The desktop cutting machine includes: a base part placed with a workpiece; a table part rotatably provided on the base part; a rocking part vertically rocked above the table part; and a cutting part 19 provided on the rocking part. The cutting part 19 has: a flat motor 15 which has a rotor having a circular disc-like coil disc 49 in which a plurality of approximately ring-like coils arranged in a circumferential direction making the output shaft 44 as a center in view in an axis 50 direction of the output shaft 44 are provided and the output shaft 44, and which has a stator having a magnet 52 in which the coil disc 49 is arranged such that a magnetic flux is passed in the axis 50 direction of the output shaft 44; a rotary blade 14 mounted to a rotary blade rotation shaft 20 arranged approximately parallel to the axis 50 direction of the output shaft 44 of the flat motor 15; and a power transmission part 18 for transmitting the power of the flat motor 15 to the rotary blade 14.
