To provide a tabletop type luminaire equipped with a light-emitting function part and a display function part using an organic EL element, which can further enhance the atmosphere or stage effect at a table seat or a party table or the like, and which is easy in handling as well as management.

The tabletop type luminaire 1 constitutes a square pyramid with a quadrilateral bottom surface part 2 and triangular side surface parts 3 with the respective sides of the bottom surface part as the bottom sides. Along vicinities of the bottom sides of the triangular shaped side surface parts 3, the display function parts 3a using the organic EL element are formed into a rectangular shape, respectively, and the light-emitting function parts 3b are formed by the respective side surface parts 3 except the display function parts 3a similarly using the organic EL element. In the luminaire 1, a control unit 4 is housed which includes a display memory on which display data displayed in the display function parts 3a are written, and a battery or the like for driving the display function parts 3a and the light-emitting function parts 3b to emit light.
