Title:
DESORBING METHOD FOR URANIUM IN FLUIDIZED STATE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5815033
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To efficiently obtain uranium by allowing uranium in seawater to be absorbed on magnetic fine powder as an adsorbent, separating the adsorbent from the seawater by magnetic separation, and fluidizing it in a circulation system together with a desorbent to allow the uranium to be desorbed in a short time.

CONSTITUTION: Uranium is seawater is allowed to be adsorbed on magnetic fine powder as an adsorbent, and the adsorbent and the seawater are introduced together into the filter 1 of a high gradient magnetic separator from a valve 5 to capture the adsorbent with the filter 1 and to remove the seawater from valves 15, 12, etc. The external magnetic field of the magnetic separator 1 is then eliminated, a desorbing liq. in a storage tank 2 is fed to the filter 1 with a pump 3 to allow the adsorbent to be desorbed from the filter 1, and the adsorbent and the desorbing liq. are circulated through desorbing lines shown by the thick lines connecting the tank 2 to the filter 1 for a fixed time to shift uranium on the adsorbent into the desorbing liq. By applying an external magnetic field to the separator 1 again, the adsorbent is separated from the desorbing liq. by magnetic separation.
