Title:
DESTATICIZING METHOD FOR ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC PHOTORECEPTOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS56122078
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To realize a destaticization free from any residual potential without giving any deterioration to a photoreceptor, by providing a transparent conductive substrate with a photoconductive layer formed by the prescribed eutectic complex or the like and then irradiating the cleaning light from the side of the substrate.

CONSTITUTION: The eutectic complex composed of the pyrylium dyestuff and an electric insulating copolymer and a photoconductive compound are dissolved into the solvent of the methylene chloride, chloroform, methylene dichloride, 1,1,2-trichloroethane and the like, and then coated on the transparent conductive substrate 2 to form the photoconductive layer 3. The light is irradiated to the photoreceptor 1 for cleaning from the side of the substrate 2, and thus the layer 3 becomes conductive. As a result, the charging positive electric charge flows toward the substrate 2, and at the same time the positive electric charge that cannot shift completely a is neutralized by the electron sent from the substrate 2 to perform destaticization without any deterioration of the photoreceptor nor residual potential. As a result, a high-quality iterative copy is made possible. The same result is obtained by giving a cleaning to a double-color photoreceptor containing a double-layer photoconductive layer from the rear surface.
