To implement destination station approach notification processing on a single portable terminal that dispenses with an external server and dispenses with a destination station input at use.
The portable terminal 10 comprises a storage part 16 registering in advance an entry station, a required time to a destination station corresponding to the entry station, a notification day, a notification time zone and a notification adjustment time, and comprises means for receiving an entry station name from an automatic ticket gate 20 upon a gate entry, a means for searching the storage part 16 for the registration of the received entry station name, a means for, if there is the registration, determining whether the current date/time falls within at least either of the notification day and the notification time zone, a means for, if it is satisfied, acquiring a required time and the notification adjustment time registered in association with the received entry station name, a means for subtracting the notification adjustment time from the required time to calculate a monitoring time and starting to monitor the lapse of the monitoring time, and means for notifying the user of approach to the destination station when the monitoring time elapses.
