Title:
DESULFURIZATION AND DENITRIFICATION OF COAL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH08100185
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a method in which coal is subjected to explosive crushing treatment to efficiently remove both the sulfur and nitrogen therein, and the treatment process is sinylified, and by which the cost of the treatment is reduced, and when the resultant coal is used as a fuel, the load on the equipment is reduced, the problem of environmental protection is mitigated, and the efficiency and working life of the combustors are improved.

CONSTITUTION: This coal desulfurization and denitrification method comprises subjecting coal to explosive crushing treatment and, in addition, pref. culturing microbes having ability to denitrify coal [e.g. Pseudomonas putida (ATCC 27212), Bacillus circulans (ATCC 29654)] and microbes having ability to desulfurize to desulfurize coal [e.g. Pseudomonas agalicii (ATCC 25941)] in a coal-contg. medium.
