Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve a desulfurization effect of a desulfurizer for molten iron contg. CaO as a chief material by mixing inexpensive soda line glass as an auxiliary agent with this desulfurizer.
CONSTITUTION: The molten iron is desulfurized by using the desulfurizer for molten iron consisting, by weight %, of 95 to 70% chief material consisting of the CaO and 5 to 30% soda lime glass having a compsn. consisting of 65 to 80% SiO2, 10 to 20% Na2O and 5 to 15% CaO.
