To solve the problem that backlash occurs on an operating table since a hole is opened on the portion of a column coupled with the operating table and the column and the operating table are coupled by fitting a shaft protruded from the rear side of the operating table to disable rotation to the hole, thereby forming a clearance to cause chattering between the hole and the shaft in a conventional coupling means for integrating a conventional column and an operating table.

A detaching mechanism for a separate type operating table is provided with a rotating member 34 attached on the side of a column 2 to be rotated by driving sources 31 and 32, at least one roller 34b formed on the inner peripheral face of the rotating member, a shaft 1d fixed on the rear side of the operating table 1 to be inserted into the rotating member, a vertical groove 1d1, in which the roller is inserted along with the outer peripheral face of the shaft, and at least one horizontal groove 1d2 coupled with the roller linked with the vertical groove, and by rotating the rotating member after the roller is inserted into the vertical groove when the column 2 is moved up, the roller is engaged with the horizontal groove 1d2 so that the column 2 and the operating table 1 can be integrated.
