Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain the accurate value by detecting the plural kinds of physical quantities having ambiguities, computing the weighting factor indicating the certainly of the detected value by fuzzy inference based on the detected value, and correcting the detected value by the weighting factor. CONSTITUTION:A neutral-position detecting device 1 is composed of an operating device 11, an input device 12 and a storage device 13. In the device 13, fuzzy inference rules for computing a weighting factor are stored. Detected signals are inputted from a yaw rate sensor 2, a vehicle speed sensor 31, a steering angle sensor 32 and a rotation-speed-difference detecting sensor for left and right wheels 33, and the signals are added. The average value of the respective detected signals are computed after the elapse of the specified time. Here, the average value of the sensor 2 becomes the original signal gamma' at the neutral position of the yaw rate. With the respective average values as input parameters, a weighting factor (k) is introduced by the fuzzy inference. The original signal gamma' is corrected based on the factor (k) and a neutral-position signal gamman-1 of the yaw rate, and the neutral-position signal gamman of the yaw rate at this tme time is obtained. Thus, the most certain neutral position of the yaw rate in response to the running state of a vehicle is detected.
