Abstract:
PURPOSE:To convert a change in the height of a liquid level into a change in an electric current and thereby to detect the level precisely by providing an electric heater for a heating vessel for detecting the liquid level and by making the current flow through this heater for heating. CONSTITUTION:In order to detect a liquid level H in a vessel 1, a prescribed voltage is applied from a constant-voltage power source device 10 onto a heater 9 wound on a heating vessel 6 wherein a liquid 2 at the same level as the one in the vessel 1 is held. Then an electric current corresponding to the liquid level H flows through this heater 9 according to a difference in a heat capacity between the liquid supplied through pipings 7 and 8 and a gas. This current is measured by a current measuring unit 11, while the temperature of the liquid 2 in the heating vessel 6 is measured by a liquid temperature measuring unit 12. An arithmetic device 13 corrects a measured current value by a measured value on the temperature of the liquid, calculates the liquid level H on the basis of the corrected current value and outputs it.
