To confirm a closed state by providing a detecting means for detecting the opened/ closed state of a window, and providing a reporting means for reporting the closed state of the window based on the detected information.

An automatic opening/closing window 21 fitted to a door is opened or closed when a down-switch or an up-switch is turned on to drive the motor 29 of an opening/closing mechanism 22 in one direction or the other direction respectively. A detecting switch 30 is provided at the upper end section of the window 21, and the switch 30 detects the closed state of the window 21 when it is turned on in contact with the window 21. The detected information from the switch 30 of each window 21 is outputted to a CPU, and the CPU turns on a reporting lamp when the switches 30 of all windows 21 are turned on. The closed state of the windows 21 can be confirmed, the operation more than necessary of the down-switch is prevented, a motor can be prevented from being applied with a load, the motor can be used over a long period, the windows 21 are prevented from being forgotten to be closed, thereby the infiltration of rain and a theft can be prevented.
