To provide a method for detecting a sand fraction change in circulating muddy water and a muddy water flow rate, by mounting a sensor on an easily mountable/dismountable spot in a conduit wherein the muddy water flows.
A slime treating pump 4 is connected to a recovery water tank 5 by the conduit 1. An excavated hole 7 is provided between the slime treating pump 4 and the ground 6. An electric resistivity sensor 2 and a flow rate sensor 3 are installed on the first spot 1a on the ground of the conduit. An electric resistivity sensor is installed on the second spot 1b on the ground of the conduit. By installing the electric resistivity sensors on two spots in this way, an electric resistivity value of the muddy water at the sucking time by the slime treating pump can be compared with an electric resistivity value of stable water at the replenishment time from the recovery water tank by a submergible pump or the like, and thereby the state of the stable water can be known easily.
