PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent erroneous detection of an object in a floating state on a touch panel while maintaining the advantages in a mutual capacitance system.SOLUTION: An object which makes a touch on a touch panel 5 is determined whether the object is an object in a ground state or an object in a floating state on the basis of a comparison result between the total of capacitance signals of the capacitances in a predetermined range read out from the touch panel 5 and a predetermined threshold level.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
