To provide a detection device which can detect appearance and disappearance of a signal when the difference of power levels between arriving signals is large.
The detection device comprises: an antenna, a frequency conversion part, an analog-digital conversion part, a band division part, a noise level estimation part, a power level suppressing part, a filter processing part and a power detection part. The band division part divides a digital signal shared through the antenna, the frequency conversion part and the A/D conversion part into a plurality of band signals of a predetermined band width. The noise level estimation part estimates an average noise level on the basis of the plurality of the band signals. The power level suppressing part adds a detection threshold to a noise level to set a peak level, and suppresses a power level which is higher than the peak level among the power levels of the plurality of the band signals to the peak level. The filter processing part performs filter processing to the plurality of the band signals from the power level suppressing part. The power detection part detects change in power of the signals having been subjected to the filter processing.
