To realize high real time processing performance and to reduce calculation quantity by photographing a left picture and a right picture at the same time by means of synchronizing right and left cameras and generating a composite stereo video signal of both pictures.
A stereo moving picture acquirement device 40 collects an even scanning line signal in a left video signal 41La from the left camera 41L and an odd scanning line signal in a right video signal 41Ra from the right camera 41R in synchronizing with a switch signal 43b. The odd scanning line signal in the left video signal 41La is set to be the even scanning line signal in a synthesis video signal 44a and the odd scanning line signal in the right video signal 41Ra is set to be the odd scanning line signal in the synthesis video signal 44a so as to generate the composite video signal 44a. When all the pictures obtained from the left camera 41L are in the same height as a road, the picture equal to the picture taken by the right camera 41R can be generated if all picture elements in the picture are moved to a scanning direction by the value of a visual difference.
