Abstract:
PURPOSE: To readily and sensitively detect the existence of the objective gene by adding an electrochemically active double strand recognition factor to a reaction system between a nucleic acid probe and an gene sample.
CONSTITUTION: An electrochemically active double strand recognition factor is added to a reaction system between a gene sample denaturated to a single strand and a single strand nucleic acid probe. The double strand recognition factor bonded to a double strand nucleic acid composed of the nucleic acid probe and the objective gene is electrochemically detected. The nucleic acid probe is fixed on the surface of an electrode and used in its state.
