PURPOSE: To obtain an effective cancer marker as indicator for the diagnosis and thereby of cancer, by comparing the amount of human fibronectin (human FN) in a biologic sample with a normal value to measure.
CONSTITUTION: The amount of human FN in a biologic sample is compared with a normal value to measure. As a singularly large amount of human FN exists in a cancer tissure, a human FN value can be used as new cancer marker. Human FN so closely involved cells as to has close connection with the aggravation of cancer cells, especially transition thereof; hence, it serves as marker indicating readiness in the transition of cancer cells. The human FN used as antigen is those derived from a body liquor such as human plasma and amniotic fluid, a cell surface and the like, preferably human plasma FN.
