Title:
DETECTION MECHANISM OF OVERLAPPED MEDIUMS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3483783
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an expensive detection mechanism of overlapped mediums of which the operator notices at an initial stage of processing without necessitating the adjustment in mounting of parts and dimensional accuracy of parts.
SOLUTION: One or a plurality of sets of rollers 31, 31' which can rotate in the orthogonal direction to the direction of conveyance of a medium and nip the medium are arranged on a conveyance path separately from a conveyance roller conveying the medium, and the roller is opened in the vertical direction of the conveyance path at the time of ordinary conveyance to stop the conveyance of the medium. When the roller for conveyance is opened in the vertical direction of the conveyance path, the medium is nipped by the sets of the rollers, and each roller forming the set is rotated in the opposite directions mutually for the medium (61, 62). The overlapped mediums are separated in the orthogonal direction to the direction of conveyance, and a projection dimension of the medium before the mediums are separated and a projection dimension of the mediums after the mediums are separated are obtained by outputs of a plurality of sensors 32, 33, 34, 37 detecting the presence of the mediums. When both projection dimensions differ from each other, it is judged that the mediums are overlapped.
