Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detection method of a test tube for accurately detecting separation positions in a blood specimen, the air-including height, serum accommodating height and the silicon separating agent accommodating height as separation ranges.
SOLUTION: In the detection method of the test tube, a detection apparatus is provided with a first detection means 11 having an infrared-irradiating element 11a for irradiating infrared rays and facing an infrared-receiving element 11b for receiving the infrared rays from the infrared irradiating element through the test tube 1; and a second detection means 12 having an infrared-irradiating element 12a for irradiating infrared rays, having a wavelength different from those of the infrared rays of the first detection means 11 and facing an infrared-receiving element 12b for receiving the infrared rays from the infrared-irradiating element through the test tube 1, where both detection means 11, 12 move vertically relative to the test tube 1, the first detection means 11 detects the positions of a plug and the silicon separating agent, and the second detection means 12 detects the positions of air, serum and clot.
