Abstract:
To provide a detection method of a hollow fiber, capable of conveniently detecting even a minute hollow fiber regardless of the type of glass.SOLUTION: In a method for detecting a hollow fiber as defect of glass filaments that compose a glass cloth, the analyte is a glass yarn composed of a plurality of glass filaments that are bundled, or a glass cloth composed of the glass yarns that are woven. The detection method of a hollow fiber comprises a step of preparing a test solution having a refractive index similar to the refractive index of the analyte through adjustment of the refractive index by changing the solute concentration of a preliminary solution containing a predetermined solute and a predetermined solvent, and a step of detecting a hollow fiber in the analyte by immersing the analyte in the test solution.SELECTED DRAWING: None
