Title:
DETECTION METHOD FOR HORIZONTAL FORCE IN TRAVERSE DIRECTION OF RAIL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2002236065
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a method for detecting accurately a horizontal force in the traverse direction of a rail, by reducing the output proportional to torsion moment.

Four crossing pairs of basic strain gauges A to H are attached to a first position P1 to a fourth position P4 on the bottom surface of a rail 10. Also four crisscross pairs of strain gauges a1 to h1 for correction are attached on a fifth position P5 and a eighth position P8 on neutral axes of both sides of a rail body 12. A Wheatstone bridge circuit is constituted of gauges A+B+c1+d1, gauges C+D+a1+b1, gauges E+F+g1+h1 and gauges G+H+e1+f1, and an output proportional to a horizontal force Q in the transverse direction of the rail is obtained.
