Abstract:
To provide a method of rapidly and specifically detecting nitrous acid-oxidizing bacteria.
A detection method of nitrous acid-oxidizing bacteria is characterized by performing PCR using DNA extracted from a sample comprising a micro-organism as a template; a forward primer specifically hybridizing with a certain region of a gene coding a nitrous acid oxidation-reduction enzyme of Nitrobacter bacteria; and a reverse primer specifically hybridizing with a certain region of a gene coding a nitrous acid oxidation-reduction enzyme of Nitrobacter bacteria.
