To improve the communication quality of a moving station by precisely and efficiently detecting adjacent base station pilot signal timing.

A time-out generator 160 transmits a time out signal CT at the interval of setting time to a timing detector 150, separates the pilot signal from received data Rv, correlates them, detects the multi-path component CMP of the pilot signal and transmits it to a timing allocation unit 180. The allocation unit 180 selects three multi-path component timing in order from strong energy and transmits them to demodulators 120 to 140 as control signals Cp1-Cp3. The respective demodulators inversely diffuse data RV with the control signals Cp1-Cp3, channel-separate them, demodulate them and transmit received data Rv1-v3 to a synthesizer 170. The data are synthesized and it is outputted as demodulated and received data R. Whenever the generator 160 generates the signal CT, the demodulation processing is executed. Thus, adjacent base station pilot signal timing can precisely and efficiently be detected.
