Abstract:
To increase the accuracy of detecting a nearby vehicle.SOLUTION: A detection system 100 detects vehicles around a vehicle 1, and includes: at least one ultrasonic sensor 10 provided in the vehicle 1 and a controller 30. The controller 30 includes a control unit for controlling operations of the ultrasonic sensor 10 and a detection unit for detecting a nearby vehicle on the basis of the result of detection by the ultrasonic sensor 10. The control unit changes an irradiation frequency as the frequency of ultrasonic waves radiated from the ultrasonic sensor 10 within a predetermined frequency band when the ultrasonic sensor 10 radiates ultrasonic waves.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
