Abstract:
To provide a detection method by which a fastening state of a spring member of a hand brake device is stably detected while coping with the change of a detected force value acting on the spring member.SOLUTION: A detection system (1) detects a fastening state of a hand brake device (10) installed in a freight car (2) traveling on a railway track. The handbrake device has a spring member (22) whose tensile force changes in response to changing operation between a remission state and a fastening state. The detection system comprises a detection part (30) detecting a tensile force of the spring member every prescribed interval and a comparison determination part (121c) which determines whether the handbrake device is in a fastening state based on a comparison between a present output value of the detection part and the last output value that is detected before the detection of the present output value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
