This detection system is constituted of: an ID detection sheet 1 having a weight detection means to detect that a person is seated or the article is placed by weight, and an ID information detection means to detect an intrinsic ID information of the person or the article by an RFID tag which the person holds or is attached to the article; a reader to read the seating information of a seating position of the person, a seated person's ID, etc. or the placing information of a placing position of the article and the placed article's ID, etc. by carrying out wireless communication with the weight detection means or the ID information detection means of the ID detection sheet 1; and an antenna sheet connected to the reader. The detection system is connected to an LAN by using at least one unit or more of ID detection units connecting the plurality of ID detection sheets to the antenna sheet of the reader.
