PURPOSE: To obtain the accurate value of a change in an angular velocity by arranging two sensor members on positions facing to each other with reference to the rotational center of a shaft in accordance with a rotating body such as a disk, etc., and removing information on errors, etc., of mounting the disk for the encoder, as for a device provided with the encoder device arranged in accordance with the rotating member such as a photoreceptive drum, etc., and for obtaining the information on the change in the angular velocity.
CONSTITUTION: The encoder device 30 having the disk 31 on which a part to be detected 32 provided with a mark such as a slit, etc., formed at equal intervals in accordance with the shaft of the photoreceptive drum is installed, and the sensor members 35 and 36 are arranged on the positions facing to each other with reference to the rotational center of the shaft on the periphery of the disk 31. Pieces of information A and B on the angular velocity obtained from the sensor members 35 and 36 are inputted to a controller 37 so as to execute arithmetic operation of the two signals, and the error component as to the mounting position on the disk is removed, only the true rotational angular velocity is obtained, and a driving pulse for preventing the generation of the rotational fluctuation of the driving motor 25 for the photoreceptive drum is made output.
