Abstract:
PURPOSE: To find discontinuity existing in either position of a heating circuit being conveyed on a transparent body containing coating by applying electric power to transparent bodies existing in different two regions, and measuring the difference of voltages in the two regions. CONSTITUTION: A conductive coating 13 is placed on the inner side of an outer glass plate 10, and a bottom bus bar 15 and a top bus bar 16 come in contact with the coating 13. Lead wires 23, 24 of a voltage sensor are extended from a terminal region 22 in parallel to bottom extending belt plates 20, 21 and come in contact with the end of the bottom bus bar 15, and the conductive coating 13 is divided into two separate circuits by a discontinuous part 30 in the top bus bar 16. The lead wires 23, 24 of the voltage sensor are connected to a comparator 31 with lead wires 32, 33, reference voltage is supplied to the comparator 31 with a lead wire 34 from a power supply 25, voltage between the lead wires 32, 34 is compared with voltage between the lead wires 33, 34. A trouble on one side of a heating circuit is detected.
