Title:
DETECTOR FOR LIQUID CHROMATOGRAPHY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5737249
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To allow gradient analysis as well as improve detection sensitivity, by supplying the identical eluent to a specimen cell and a reference cell, detecting the difference of absorption or refractive index arising with time difference and integrating said value to obtain chromatograph.

CONSTITUTION: The solution including specimen, coming out of a column 5, is led to the reference side after passing through a specimen cell 2, and after passing a reference cell 3, it reaches a waste-solution vessel 7. The light from a light source 1 passes through the specimen cell 2 and the reference cell 3 and is incident on a detector 4, and the time lag corresponding to the flow time from the specimen cell 2 to the reference cell 3 will occur to the absorption of light passing through the both cells, and differential chromatograph is obtained from the detector 4. The output from the detector 4 is converted to an electric current by a voltage-current convertor 8, and integrated by an integrator 9, and peak chromatograph is obtained by a recorder 10. This enables gradient analysis, and improves detection sensitivity.
