Abstract:
PURPOSE:To make a polished member clean by removing easily a buffing compound sticking to the member which has been polished with the buffing compound without causing adverse effect on the polished member by using a detergent contg. dichloro-trifluoroethane as an effective component for a detergent for removing the sticking buffing compound. CONSTITUTION:When a member made of a metal, plastic, elastomer, etc., is polished, the member is washed with a detergent consisting primarily of dichloro-trifluoroethane such as 1,1-dichloro-2,2,2-trifluoroethane 1,2-dichloro-1,2,2- trifluoroethane, or 1,1-dichloro-1,2,2-trifluoroethane as primary component, and contg. 20-30wt.% at least one kind of org. solvent among hydrocarbons, alcohols, ketones, halogenated hydrocarbons, esters, etc., with a purpose for cleaning the member by removing the buffing compound sticking to the surface of the member. A detergent for removing a buffing compd. having high incombustibility and causing no pollution such as contamination of underground water is provided.
