Abstract:
To provide a carboxylic acid polymer powder excellent in solubility in uses for fiber treating products (e.g., detergents and clothing treating agents).
It has been found out that the detergent and the clothing treating agent each of which contains the carboxylic acid polymer powder satisfying the following requirements (a) and (b) have markedly improved solubility. The above requirements are (a) the viscosity of a 0.2 wt.% aqueous solution is 10 mPa s or higher and/or the pH of a 1 wt.% aqueous solution is below 6, and the viscosity of a 10 wt.% aqueous solution is 300 mPa s or higher and (b) the content of particles which pass a JIS sieve (20 mesh) is 50 wt.% or larger and/or the mean particle diameter is 600 μm or smaller.
