Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject composition excellent in foaming properties, stability with time, handleability of aqueous solution and low in skin irritation by formulating a specific amide ether carboxylic acid (salt) with an alkanolamide, a higher fatty acid (salt) and a hydroxy acid (salt).
SOLUTION: This composition is obtained by formulating (A) 70-97wt.% of a compound of formula I [R1 is a 6-24C higher fatty acid residue; R2 is H or a 1-4C alkyl; A is a 2-4C alkylene; M is H, an alkaline (earth) metal ion, an ammonium cation, a lower alkanolamine cation or a basic amino acid cation; (n) is 0-20] with (B) 2.5-15wt.% of a compound of formula II, (C) 0.1-10wt.% of a compound of the formula R1COOM and (D) 0.005-5wt.% of a hydroxy acid (salt). The composition is preferably used for a skin detergent, a hair detergent, a dish washing detergent, a detergent for clothing, etc.
