PURPOSE: To provide a low-irritant detergent composition excellent in foamability and the use feel on finishing washing therewith, having viscosity useful as a detergent composition, and good in stability with time.
CONSTITUTION: The objective detergent composition containing a total of 10-60wt.% of (A) a higher fatty acid salt of formula R1COOM1 (R1CO is 10-22C aliphatic acyl; M1 is alkali metal, ammonium or organic ammonium), (B) an alkyliminodicarboxylate-type amphoteric surfactant of formula I [R2 is 10-22C alkyl or alkenyl; R3 and R4 are each 1-3C alkylene; M2 and M3 are each H, alkali (alkaline earth) metal, ammonium or organic ammonium] and (C) 1-10wt.% of an amine oxide-type nonionic surfactant of formula II [R5 is the same as R2; R6 and R7 are each 1-3C alkyl or (CH2CH2O)nH (n is 1-15)] or formula III [R8CO is the same as R1CO; R9 and R10 are each 1-3C alkyl or (CH2CH2O)nH (m is 1-15); p is 1-3] at the weight ratios A/B of (10:1) to (1:10) and (A+B)/C of (30:1) to (3:1).
