To obtain a detergent composition not exerting an undesirable influence on the ozonosphere, having no inflammability, excellent in long-term storage stability, useful for electronic material parts, etc., by including each a specific hydrocarbon compound and, a nonionic surfactant, and water in a specified ratio.
This composition comprises (A) 0.2-25 wt.% of one or more hydrocarbon compounds selected from a 14-30C straight- or branched-chain paraffin-based hydrocarbon, a 14-30C straight- or branched-chain olefin-based hydrocarbon and a 14-30C naphthene-based hydrocarbon, (B) 0.2-15 wt.% of a nonionic surfactant of the formula (R is a 5-17C alkyl; Ph is phenyl; (n) is 2-12) and (C) 60-98.4 wt.% of water and has ≤5 μm average emulsion diameter. Preferably, this oil-in-water type emulsion-based detergent composition is further mixed with (D) ≤10 wt.% of one or more amine-based compounds/such as an alkanolamine and (E) ≤10 wt.% of an inorganic alkali salt such as sodium carbonate.
