Abstract:
To provide detergent for a papermaking felt which is high in the ability to remove a dirt on a papermaking felt regardless of organic and/or inorganic dirt, and to provide a method for cleansing papermaking felt using the detergent.
The detergent for a papermaking felt contains a nonionic surfactant(S) derived from a branched 8-24C primary alcohol and represented by general formula (1) (wherein, R1 and R2 are each a 1-12C branched or straight-chain alkyl or alkenyl; AO is a 2-4C oxyalkylene group; and n is an average addition number of moles of the oxyalkylene group, being 1-100).
