Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a detergent comprising a lowly toxic safe solvent system surmounting the drawbacks of conventional substitute solvents such as Cellosolve acetate, Flon 113, and methylchloroform, having a high solvency, not forming environmentally disruptive substances, and having no unpleasant odor and a relative high boiling point leading to safety and good handleability.
SOLUTION: This detergent contains at least one hydroxyisobutyrate selected from alkyl α-alkoxyisobutyrates, alkyl β-alkoxyisobutyrates, and alkyl α- hydroxyisobutyrates as an effective ingredient.
