To diagnose a degree of deterioration of devices of an opening/closing apparatus.
An opening/closing apparatus 2 for a water gate 1 includes: a wire rope 8 whose one end side is wound around a drum 6 and the other end part is held on a dam body through pulleys 7a, 7b attached to the water gate 1 to suspend the water gate 1; a brake device 4 arranged between a motor 3 for positively and reversely rotating the drum 6 and the drum 6; and a speed reducer 5. A load detector 9 is connected to the other end part of the wire rope 8. Wire rope tension values respectively obtained by ascending and descending the water gate 1 are detected by the load detector 9 and entered into a data arithmetic processing part 11 through a data collection device 10. When it is defined that average values of the wire rope tension values in a predetermined period are set as Tu, Td, a tackle efficiency ηs is calculated by ηs=(Tu/Td)1/2. The tackle efficiency ηs is monitored with the lapse of time to diagnose a degree of deterioration of the devices in the opening/closing apparatus 2. Consequently, management of tendency of various efficiency values can contribute to rationalization of device updating, and a degree of deterioration of devices with the lapse of time can be quantitatively evaluated.
