Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a freshness/maturation determination device capable of making a highly reliable determination concerning freshness or maturation of a variety of fresh food and a refrigerator with the freshness/maturation determination device.SOLUTION: A freshness/maturation determination device 2 includes: a storage part 4 of fresh food F; a light source 10a for emitting visible light to the fresh food F arranged in the storage part 4; an optical sensor 10b for detecting a light intensity of a prescribed wavelength region of light reflected from the fresh food F to which the visible light is emitted; and a control unit 100 for making a determination concerning freshness or maturation of the fresh food F on the basis of the light intensity of the prescribed wavelength region detected by the optical sensor 10b.
