Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a determination method for a risk of an obstructive sleep apnea syndrome, a program thereof, and an X-ray diagnostic system having the program capable of easily determining a risk of a person to be examined developing an obstructive sleep apnea syndrome objectively and in a short time.SOLUTION: A determination method for a risk of an obstructive sleep apnea syndrome includes: a first step for detecting at least a hyoid bone, sella S, gonion Go, and menthone Me by the lateral X-ray photography of the head and neck of a person to be examined; and a second step for determining whether or not the center of the basioglossus detected is included in an area above a perpendicular down to an extension line of a line segment S-Go from the Me. When the center of the basioglossus is included inside a first triangle, the determination is that there is no risk of an obstructive sleep apnea syndrome, and when the center of the basioglossus is located in an area below the first triangle, the determination is that there is a risk of an obstructive sleep apnea syndrome. When using an oral cavity device for the treatment of an obstructive sleep apnea syndrome, the oral cavity device is manufactured based on the determination result.
