Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method efficiently detoxicating chlorofluorocarbon using a cylindrical burner of a kiln for manufacturing cement.
SOLUTION: In a burning end surface of the cylindrical burner, powdered fuel is injected into the kiln through a fuel injection port annularly formed about the central point, primary air is injected into the kiln in substantially the same direction of the fuel injection flow through a plurality of outer primary air injection ports disposed outside the annular fuel injection port and in an annular region concentric to it and through a plurality of inner primary air injection ports disposed inside the annular fuel injection port and in an annular region concentric to it, thereby forming a combustion flame of the powdered fuel. Chlorofluorocarbon is mixed into the primary air flow flowing through at least one inner primary air injection port, they are injected, and the chlorofluorocarbon is burned in the combustion flame and detoxicated.
