Abstract:
To provide a method of detoxifying PCBs, and dioxins which is low in cost, small in environmental load, and capable of reusing treated substances.
The method comprises forming a pressurized reduction atmosphere filled with superheated steam in a sealed vessel by heating the vessel holding a contaminated material and water therein to decompose PCBs and dioxins, and thereafter cooling the vessel in sealed conditions.
