To provide a developer for electrostatic charge image development, an image forming method and an image forming apparatus which suppress attachment of external additives to a carrier, has stable charging/resistance over a long period of time and can output high-quality images.
The developer for electrostatic charge image development contains at least toner and carrier, wherein the toner comprise a binder resin, a colorant and the external additives; the volume-average particle size of at least one of the external additives is 10 to 40 nm, the carrier has a magnetic powder-dispersed particle as a core body; and the amount of total energy from filling surface to depth 70 mm of the carrier at an entrance angle of the rotary vane of -10°, at air flow of 10 cc/min and top end speed of the rotary vane of 100 mm/sec in a powder rheometer is 890 to 1,390 mJ.
