Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developer which has stable image density by keeping sufficient developer supply power and strip performance in matching a developer supply and strip member with the developer.
SOLUTION: The developer is used for the image forming method of a nonmagnetic one-component contact system provided with the developer supply and strip member which is arranged by pressure-contact with a developer carrier body. The developer supply and strip member is a open-cell foam elastic body. The developer, being the nonmagnetic one-component developer, is provided with coloring particles consisting of at least a binding resin, a colorant, and a releasing agent and also at least metallic oxide fine particles on the surface of the coloring particles. In the developer, the disengagement rate of the metallic oxide fine particles is 0.01 to 10% and also a coarse particle amount is equal to or less than 1.5 vol.%.
