Abstract:
To provide a developer residual amount detection selection system which can notify a user of the optimum developer shortage point in accordance with various ways of use by users.SOLUTION: The developer residual amount detection selection system applied to an image formation apparatus selects which of a plurality of pieces of residual amount detection means detecting in different detection methods the residual amount of toner in a toner supply container 28 and a development device 4 to be used for detection by a selection function of a control device, and determines the presence/absence of notification of toner near end on the basis of the residual amount of toner by the selected residual amount detection means by a notification determination function of the control device. The control device can variably set the timing of notifying the user of the toner near end, performs display control of performing display to a display part so that the user can select and designate the selection content of each residual amount detection means and display control of performing display to the display part so that the user can select and designate the content of the variable setting.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
