Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing apparatus configured to prevent reduction in image forming quality, while ensuring predetermined service life or longer, and an image forming apparatus.SOLUTION: A developing apparatus includes: a developer carrier which develops an electrostatic latent image on an electrostatic latent image carrer carrying the electrostatic latent image on a surface, by means of developer; and two developer supply members for supplying developer stored in a developer storage section to the developer carrier. The first and second developer supply members are arranged in pressure-contact with the developer carrier, so as to face the developer carrier. The first developer supply member is arranged downstream of the second developer supply member in a rotation direction of the developer carrier. The total pressure contact value (Hs1×(Δ1/t1)+Hs2×(Δ2/t2)) to be obtained when the first and second developer supply members are brought into pressure contact with the developer carrier is 10-50.
