The developing apparatus includes: a color developing tank 51 which reserves a color developing liquid to develop colors of an exposed photosensitive material P; and a conveying unit 10a, 10b which sends the photosensitive material P to the color developing tank 51 and conveys while immersing the material in the color developing liquid, wherein an IR ray irradiating means 9 is disposed near the conveying unit, and the IR ray irradiation means 9 irradiates the photosensitive material P with IR rays to heat the photosensitive material.
