PURPOSE: To always obtain stable printing quality without drastically increasing the cost, even in wide area printing at a high speed by specifying a developer carrying path by means of developing rolls in the same and reverse directions, in a center feeding system using three developing rolls or more.
CONSTITUTION: Three reverse direction developing rolls 5-7 rotated in the direction opposite to the rotation of a photosensitive body 1 and the same direction developing roll 14 rotated in the same direction as the rotation of the photosensitive body 1 are arranged opposite to near the photosensitive body 1 having photoconductivity, on the downstream and upstream sides, respectively. The magnets 8-10 of the reverse direction developing rolls 5-7 have a pair or two pairs of adjacent magnetic poles of same-polarity and the same-polarity part arranged on parts where the same direction developing rolls 5 and 6 and 7 are arranged closest to each other, respectively. On the hand, in the magnet 15 of the same direction developing roll 14, all adjacent magnetic poles are composed of different poles. Further, a carrying member capable of rotating 4 such as the developing roll is provided on the most downstream side and the developer carrying path shown by the figure can be obtained.
